Pressure Washing Season

Its time folks. Spring is here and that means pressure washing season has begun. In Autumn leaves fall and cover sidewalks, driveways, and patios. During winter the leaves stain all of these surfaces leaving discoloration and grime to decks and concrete. Just a quick pressure washing and everything is back to looking fresh again.

Here is a back deck I’m pressure washing and the picture says it all. The deck comes back to life. Grime that is left on wood is extremely slippery as well and can be unsafe for kids.

Make that call and lets put you on the schedule!        206-407-4141 or email me at the Contact Page

Another mid-rise building in Seattle

Back to work we go! Window cleaning in the winter tends to die down overall. The hours are short and they days are crumby. But March pretty much sets off the year for us. Its the beginning of the “window cleaning season ” as well as other services like pressure washing is popular in spring and summer.

Back to the picture. We work a lot of residential. I like the fast pace and the one on one experience with cleaning windows at a home. But sometimes I get the itch to hang off these buildings I see everyday. Here we have just a five story building we did last week. Not to tall of a building, but it was just exciting to do some drops for a change.

Better check those sills.

Window cleaning is a pretty typical cleaning in any home. I would categorized it as house maintenance. Gutter cleaning, roof work, painting, etc. It makes your home feel cleaner and your views crisper. It’s something most people don’t think about.
There are a lot of window cleaners and competition out there. Just like any other business/job. I have worked with a lot of cleaners in the past seven years. I try my best to learn the tricks and helpful hints of others and combine them with my own technique.
One thing I have been noticing with window cleaners is that some companies and cleaners are not wiping up the outside window sill. You would think this is a basic procedure. I’m guessing the thought here is that the customer is looking out the window and seeing it’s clean. This minimal performance is bothersome to me.
Here in the before and after we cleaned the window and it looks great but we didn’t wipe the sill. As you can see after we wiped everything down it really cleans up nice. It’s it takes two seconds. Your welcome :)

Solar Panel Cleaning

Solar panels are getting more popular in the Seattle greater area.
The technology is getting better and people are using them for homes, business’s and even boats. There are two main types of solar panel systems. Off grid types that supply just you and only you and there are grid tie systems that supply you and if more energy is available it gives back to the grid. There are downsides to each of these types. For the grid tie solar panel systems, when the grid goes down so do the solar panels. There is no “switch” or any way to just power only yourself with grid tie systems. once the grid goes down so does your grid tie system. That’s where off grid solar systems come in. They supply you and only you. The downside to these systems is that they are extremely expensive in the fact that the batteries are still not as advanced as one would think for 2012. they depreciate fast and cost a lot.

All in all solar energy is getting more popular everywhere and im a fan of this clean energy. Keeping your panels clean maximizes your solar panels performance. We have been cleaning solar panels for years now. They gunk up just like your gutters and roof. We clean them carefully using light biodegradable products and a water fed pole. Depending on the location of your panels, usually a once a year clean in perfect.

Gutter Cleaning Season is here and now

Its been fall for a while now. The weather was really good in the beginning of the month. Its now nearing the end of October and the weather has turned one eighty. Its cold and rainy like every year this time. This is when the calls start coming in for roof cleaning, moss removal, and gutter cleaning. Call us and get a same day quote for your gutters to be cleaned. Its typically fast to perform, usually no more than a couple hours depending on your home.
